Weird lights

Im a bit new in unity and im trying to set up some lights but i noticed that the lights are weird: only a part of ceiling is lit from the light if its near it and also all sides behind the light are not lit at all. This just doesnt makes sense, is there something behind the light in real it IS lit just less. I cant figure out how to fix this, i already tried increasing pixel light count with no result. Im using point lights in picture but all other lights do this, except for directional light that has however an infinite range witch i dont want. Any help?

What you are describing is a complex effect called (most recently) Global Illumination (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_illumination). An old approximation is ambient lighting: http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Components/class-RenderSettings.html
