Transform.Position pass through walls

I'm building a game with a ball that players control with keys but the ball is passing through the walls which have box colliders and so the ball (sphere collider). I'm using: void FixedUpdate() { Vector3 pos = transform.position;

     if (Input.GetKey(key_up)) 
     {
       
         transform.position = new Vector3(pos.x, 
                                          pos.y, 
                                          pos.z + 0.01f);
     } 

How can i solve this problem. I try with rigid body but it didnt work. Is there any way stop the ball from pass the walls???

Instead of change the position of the ball, you should give it a force. Just like real physics objects that move don't just teleport from one place to the next. Use the rigidbody.AddForce() method.

rigidbody.AddForce() is the best, but you need to give it a vector3. There are methods to find direction out of that. Good luck

I did try with rigibody.AddForce()= new Vector3(.....) but it gives an error.... ??? How can i apply rigibodu with vector3 ???
