Subframe Collision Detection

Hey guys,

We're working on a mobile game where you can throw objects at other objects and thus rack up combos. Each of these objects has a sphere collider and raycast is used to detect when the player touched and then "threw" the object. The issue is that since the game runs at around 40-50 fps on mobile there are situations where one's finger moves across the screen and the collision not registering.

Is there any way around this? Since it works fine on PC. I'd definitely appreciate any input I can get.

Thanks

Am I really the only one getting this?

Are you using continuous collision detection on your rigid bodies?

I am not sure it matters for raycasting but its set to continuous yes.

Sorry, is the raycast an issue or collisions? Have you tried reducing the length of the timeslice?
