Array manipulation

Question

This is driving me crazy, I am sure it is something simple but I just cannot see it. Code compiles fine however I cannot get the array to print to console or pass its ints to any other int. I have also tried System.Console.WriteLine to no effect.

 public int[] Positions = new int[51];
 int startposition;
 
 void Start () {
     startposition = Random.Range(1,10);
     Positions[0] = startposition;
     for (int i = 0; i < Positions.Length; i++) 
     {
             Debug.Log (Positions[i]);
     }

Your script works fine...

If your Debug.Log is not showing up in the console :

Is your script attached to a game object ?

(You might have forgotten to do so)

Did you re-size Positions in the inspector ? (It won't work if array size is zero)

(Instances of public variables can differ from the script)

Last resort : Refresh or restart unity

It was the inspector! Thank you so much I would have never looked there and this was driving me crazy with such a simple script!

Make sure you have Log messages turned on in your console:
