Using AssetBundles throughout project

I've been researching AssetBundles and have got them to work in a basic capacity. However, I was wondering whats the best way to go when applying it to a project with multiple scenes? Would it be better to make a single AssetBundle of the whole app? Or would it work more efficiently if I was to make an AssetBundle for each individual scene? I was originally thinking the latter would be better; each scene is only unpacked when it's was needed. However, I'm now thinking the project may get unnecessarily 'messy' with multiple AssetBundle-related scripting.

I'm to be publishing this to the PlayStore too, so will be hosting the AssetBundle(s) on an FTP server
