Pretty much all of the code in that excerpt is mangled and seems to indicate a lack of knowledge about basic syntax and script anatomy. I suggest following some scripting tutorials; there are lots and lots available online through a simple google.

Also.. you are leaving out the most important part of the error message! The numbers in parenthesis are the line and column of the error!

But yeah, your code isn't even close to something that makes sense.

Your script's syntax is odd, so please make a backup, replace it with my edited version, and tell me if the error is still there.

Please complete the edited version, because I have commented a decision that I need you to make.

 animation.play("Swing");

 animation["Swing"].speed = 2;

 isswinging = true;

 canswing = false;

 if(canswing == false)
 {

     swingtimer -= swing.deltaTime;
     //Keep the above line if you want it to be activated upon the condition of canswing being false
 }
 //swingtimer -= swing.deltaTime;
 //If you do want t$$anonymous$$s here, please keep it here and delete my code under the 'if canswing == false' condition.

 if(swingtimer <= 0)
 {
     swingtimer = 1;
     canswing = true;
     isswinging = false;
 }

A good effort at interpreting the OP's intention. However, you might want to look at:

 canswing = false;

followed immediately by:

 if(canswing == false)

... ;)
