Attach generated texture to uvs

Hey Guys, I'm creating a Voxel-Game similiar to Minecraft. I'm currently adding stability to blocks. To make a block look half destroyed I'm combining the blocks texture with a transparent break texture. How could I attach the resulting texture to an uv?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "attaching a texture to a uv". You can blend two textures together in a custom shader used by the block material - in which you can, say, take the alpha channel from your break texture and the RGB channels from your regular texture.
