Robust p2p video call with oovoo / openTok + Unity?

Hello community

We're re-tooling for the next generation of everything and looking at Unity as a space where we can develop our ideas into prototypes.

One of our projects requires an ability to initiate a high quality video call between two people using a mobile device and built-in camera (720p - 25fps). Our initial idea was to use one of the SDKs from oovoo / openTak and integrate it into Unity...

The question: Is this even possible? If so - what are the broad-strokes of how to implement such a feature?

We've followed some breadcrumb trails, looked at solutions like VideoChat and came to a conclusion that while it's possible to create a p2p call, the quality of the broadcast is either below the required spec (720p - 25fps) or is not cross-platform compatable.

We have a plan B - using a more traditional approach to build our applications - however the truth is that we really want to do this in Unity and hope that there's an answer for us that can make it happen.

Thank you

Hi, I am also working on this recently, have you figured out how to implement a high quality video call inside Unity?
