transform.rotate - function of parent eulerangle

Hi Guys

I'm scratching my head with this one. Don't know if it's possible or not but I'd like to rotate a cube using the transform.Rotate function. The rate of rotation however needs to be a function of the parent's euler angle.

Both parent and child rotate about the z axis and the child rotates based on sin(euler angle z of parent).

Is this possible?

Any help will be great.

By "based on" do you mean the speed or the amount/amplitude? This is like a spaceship slowly turning, with a scanning turret that becomes move active as the spaceship faces south?

For amplitude, it's easy to just multiply by parent.z. For speed, it's worse -- you can't multiply the time by parent.z or you get jumps. Have to maintain a personal time var and add to it based on parent.z. But this is just math.
