Question by AaronBrownLM · Dec 03, 2014 at 07:35 PM · webplayershadowsquality

Webplayer shadows are low quality?

I'm using Unity 4.6, and yes, I set the graphics settings for web player output to "fantastic". And yes, I did it specifically for web player output (repeating that statement, for emphasis). Shadows on fantastic are set to highest quality. In the editor, I see crisp shadows. In play mode, crisp shadows. In web player, I see the shadows, but they look fuzzy and blocky and really low quality. I'm using deferred lighting. What's wrong?

Can't be tied to the stand alone, but I'll try that. I'm thinking it's because my computer uses two graphics processors, a high end, and a low end for windows apps. $$anonymous$$y guess is, my graphics processor is running the browser's unity plugin on the low end portion of my graphics card. I tried setting the browser itself to run on the high-end card, but that changed nothing. I'm not sure how to change the default graphics card for the actual plugin though, since the plugin is a dll. So I haven't tested this theory fully yet.

Screenshots of the different scenarios?
