Enable and disable normalmaps from script?

Hey, to keep it short & simple: I am experimenting with something that requires multiple normalmaps. One animated. I need to be able to enable and disable the second bumpmap, appropriately named _BumpMap2, from another script. But I have no idea how? Please help.

Here's how you can do it.

 // Store a reference to your existing _BumpMap2.
 Texture bumpMap2Tex;
 // Dont assing any bump map to this. Just keep it null
 public Texture noBumpMap;

 void Start()
 {
     bumpMap2Tex = renderer.material.GetTexture("_BumpMap2");
 }

 void Example() {
     // Disable the current bump map by setting it to empty texture
     renderer.material.SetTexture("_BumpMap2", noBumpMap);
     // Enable the original bump map by setting it to the original bump map
     renderer.material.SetTexture("_BumpMap2", bumpMap2Tex);
 }
