How can I create a paint splash effect?

Question

I want to have an object $$anonymous$$t another object to create a paint splatter effect. I'm planning on t$$anonymous$$s effect to be repeated a lot, so I'd like it if the splatter was varied instead of a single, basic design. How can I do t$$anonymous$$s?
