Ignore 2D collision help

I am trying to make it so that my shots dont collide with my health collider because I have it setup so that when the enemy collides with the health collider, it loads a new scene. I have tried this script but it dosent work. Its from the scripting api and I dont know if I understood it correctly or not, but like I said I cant get it to work. I have the script attached to the health object. I tried attaching the script to the shot prefab and it just spawned a huge amount of the shots. Also when the shot collides with any other object that has a 2D collider, it loads the new scene.

 using UnityEngine;
 using System.Collections;

 public class ignoreCollision : MonoBehaviour {
     public Transform shotPrefab;
     void Start (){
         Transform shot = Instantiate (shotPrefab) as Transform;
         Physics2D.IgnoreCollision (shot.collider2D, collider2D);
     }
 }

Is there a way that I can make the script look for a specific tag?

I fixed the part where it would load the new scene when it collided with any object.
