Question by itsmealex100 · Feb 15, 2015 at 09:02 PM · zombie

Help with basic zombie Ai with a twist.

Hi all,

I'm creating a basic block modelled zombie game, I have my map and player movement setup. However I now want to create a basic zombie AI where the zombie's must chase the player. However the zombie's originally spawn behind boxes that the player must setup as a defence before the wave starts. So i need the zombies to slowly attempt to push down these 'barricades' and when they have broken through, they must then head straight for the player.

Any thoughts you have on how I should achieve this would be appreciated I'm still very new to Csharp and finding things difficult so please explain fully!

Thanks.

If they use Animate Physics and the boxes are really heavy you can probably achieve this without code.

Hi meat, So far i've managed to get the zombies to push objects out of there way whilst they travel towards the player. The problem is that there will most likely be 20 or so zombies pushing multiple objects out of there way, is this likely to cause a lot of performance issues? (for $$anonymous$$obile)

The only way to see is to test it...with 50
