how to make a character got half ragdoll/rigid body physics and half static/dynamic physics??

While the question is somewhat unclear (what is "half ragdoll"?)...

I think Matthew's talk from Unite 2008 probably covers some of the things: http://unity3d.com/support/resources/unite-presentations/physics-the-right-way He talks about transitioning from animated to ragdoll; also physically driven characters that are controlled by animations.

By half rag doll and half dynamic physics do you mean sometimes one behavior and sometimes the other or both behaviors at the same time in different parts of the character?
