Question by TwistedCarny · Mar 08, 2015 at 12:04 PM · profilerprofiling

GPU profiling is not supported on GTX 970?

I was messing around with the profiler today and I tried adding the GPU profiler and it says "GPU profiling is not supported by the graphics card driver. Please update to a new version if available.".

I'm using the 347.52 driver and Windows 7. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is the GTX 970 not supported?

Hi,

Same issue here, 2 years later. Using a GeForce GTX 970 on 3 different windows 10 computers, we cannot get GPU Usage working on Unity 5.6, even if active API is set to DX11. I tried almost everything, restarted Unity, added GPU Profiling before hitting play, deep profile ... nothing seems to fix the issue.

$$anonymous$$y drivers are the latest available, am I missing something ?

Thanks,

Seb

Hi.

There is a bug in the gpu profiler, where we display this message if we don't have profiling data for gpu. This will be the case for a valid card, if some frames have been recorded without the gpu profiler turned on. It is an invalid error message, and if you press profile, it should record gpu data as well.

I hope this helps.

We will look into the bug as well

Thanks for reporting

Kim

This used to work for me, just hitting play and the error would clear. As of a couple weeks ago, it is just error'd all the time. no data
