Question by GameDev Novice · Mar 24, 2015 at 06:21 AM · updateresizewindows-7

Unity window doesnt update unless resized

Unity downloads and opens without a problem but the window doesn't seem to update unless the window is resized. Drop down menus work fine but when a new object is created or when you click on an existing object the attributes don't appear until the window is resized and you can only change an attribute one letter or number between resizings.

I'm using a windows 7 64bit computer, Ive tried older versions of unity and unity 5, I've also tried a 2D and 3D project with the same issue.

Hmmm... Under Edit -> Preferences, make sure auto refresh is checked. This could be a bug if you have tried multiple versions and still seem to be having this problem....

Seems very similar to this bug that is "fixed" ... -> Values not updating until forced, etc

auto refresh is checked and I have seen a few others with a similar problem but their fixes didn't work IE change graphics setting to high performance or energy saver
