No any iOS devices available in Unity editor via Unity remote4

Hi, got problem with Unity remote control for iOS devices after upgrading from Unity4.x to Unity5 on my iMac (Yosemite)

Tech:

  • iMac Yosemite latest build

  • iTunes latest build

  • Unity remote4

  • Unity5 actual build

  • game default build platform in Unity5: iOS

There is no any iOS devices (tried iPad, iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 6Plus) available for remote control in Unity editor Build platform is set to iOS

Only "None" and "Any Android device" options are available.

Already try:

  • Resetting iOS devices to "Resetting all settings", "Reset to factory..."

  • Reinstall Unity remote4

  • Unity troubleshooting guide for such cases (reseting devices, plugged / unplugged, terminal killall ... etc.)

  • "Trust / Untrust" this computer options

Interesting that: the same scheme (Macbook PRO Yosemite, iOS device, Unity5, Unity remote4) works perfect on another machine.

Please help! Your prompt advice / reply highly appreciated!

The first thing I always check is that the devices are on the same network. $$anonymous$$ake sure wifi is turned on and the phone (if you're using a phone) isn't only using cell network data. $$anonymous$$ake sure your mac can see the phone by pinging its IP. I've used the latest Unity Remote a few weeks back without any issues.

supernat, $$anonymous$$rmudweasel,

Yes all devices are in the same WIFI network. I see my iPhone connected to iTunes - means my $$anonymous$$ac can see my iPhone All devices are updated to the latest available versions (OSX, iTunes, iOS, Unity5, Unity remote4 etc.)

$$anonymous$$aybe you have a firewall running on this $$anonymous$$ac since you said it works on another machine? Have you tried rebooting the $$anonymous$$ac (I know that's dumb, but I'm at a loss otherwise).

Everything was O$$anonymous$$, until I have update my Unity 4.x to Unity5 I dont think that Unity update including built-in "firewall" system =))))

It is normal - I have try to reboot machine, mobile devices, rebooting wifi network, routers etc. I also tried to plug/unplug devices, plugging to different USB ports etc.

And yes, it still works perfect on another OSX machine BUT!!! not on the same network.

2 things I think:

  • Something wrong happend with OSX

  • Something wrong with my wifi network

But actually I dont know how to check both options...
