Most efficient way to make tracer machingun fire? (raycast or rigidbody)

Im trying to shoot a line of tracer fire and have it act like a hose similar in plane games you fire and the bullets continue in the path they were shot so there is that lobbing effect when you shoot in front of somet$$anonymous$$ng. What would be better for my needs? A raycast that is broken up into pieces or a long rigidbody with a mesh of 3 or 4 bullets? Or is there somet$$anonymous$$ng even better than these two that i can use?

I was leaning the way of particle emiter and raycast but ill try this out too. thank you.
