How to neglect orthographic depth effect for UI elements within world space canvas attached to a gameObject?

Hi,

Any idea how to neglect orthographic depth effect for UI elements within world space canvas? Within my scene, I have a gameObject (called enemy) where I attached this world space canvas to it and I applied Billboard script for this canvas but still when enemy moving far away from the main camera, the text element (a child of world space canvas) becomes very small.

What I want to achieve is something similar to gizmo icon effect within 3D project scene more or less.

Billboard Script Link: http://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php?title=CameraFacingBillboard

regards,

Khaled

I guess I found a solution. I only need to play with scale ratio of my UI element based on the distance from the camera. I hope there will no side effect on graphics quality with this approach.

 using UnityEngine;

 using System.Collections;

 using System.Collections.Generic;

 public class WorldToScreenTracker : MonoBehaviour {

     public Camera trackingCam;
     public Transform objectToTrack;
     public Vector3 pixelOffset;

     // Update is called once per frame
     void Update()
     {
         if (objectToTrack != null)
         {
             Vector3 screenPos = trackingCam.WorldToScreenPoint(objectToTrack.position);
             screenPos += pixelOffset;
             this.transform.position = screenPos;
         }
     }
 }
