Can't specify OnTriggerStay2D to gameobject/gameobject not responding?

 public void OnTriggerStay2D(Collider2D other)
 {
     if (other.name == "Block")
     {
         print("Sup");
     }
         print("sup2" + other.gameObject.name);
 }

I only get "sup2Char" as it does collide with my character which has the same collider as the object I wnat it to collide with?, the other gameobject it hits is the only gameobject it is hitting with it's collider and the gameobject being hit and the gameobject itself both have a collider2D

the object with the script gets instantiated

What the hell? I can't understand a word. please simplify your question. Anyway, change the 3rd line to this:

 if (other.gameObject.name == "Block")
