Spotlight Piercing through game objects?

I'm creating a First Person Horror game and I'm having problems with my Flashlight's Spotlight. It pierces through almost every 3D game object. Wether it's a primitive or an imported 3D model. I can't post a screenshot right now but I'll try to explain throughly. You could see the light on the objects but there are times when you could see the back of the object, and you could see the light as if there was no object there at all.

The spotlight is a child object of a Flashlight model. Every game object has a mesh filter, mesh renderer and also colliders. The spotlight also has a "Soft shadows" setting.

I have no idea of what is wrong so I didn't try to change anything in the game objects. I have tried googling and it's all a bunch of unrelated junk. Any help is greatly appreciated.
