Question by Nikorraa · Jun 08, 2015 at 10:56 AM · apk

.apk file not appearing

I build any app, build it, and the .apk file is missing. I search for it, and it shows in recent files, but when I try to open it, it shows as missing. The folder where it should be does not have it in there either. I have tried for two weeks to resolve this, searching for answers, and it seems it is only happening to me, but I doubt it.

What do you have in the editor log immediately after perfor$$anonymous$$g the build?

I never thought to check the console log. Below is the output.

Error building Player: Win32Exception: ApplicationName='C:/Users/Will/AppData/Local/Android/sdk\tools\aapt.exe', CommandLine='package --auto-add-overlay -v -f -m -J gen -$$anonymous$$ Android$$anonymous$$anifest.xml -S "res" -I "C:/Users/Will/AppData/Local/Android/sdk\platforms\android-22\android.jar" -F bin/resources.ap_', CurrentDirectory='Temp/StagingArea'

As far as the second answer about the SD$$anonymous$$ location, where can I check this? I am self-learning this. Been a systems engineer for years, but outside of college years ago I haven't tried writing or building anything like this.

I've converted your responses from Answers to Comments, which is what should be used for discussion and clarification.

I've fixed the issue by just blowing out unity and sdk and a fresh install. No clue why it messed up. Thanks for the help. :-)
