Unity 5.1 adds permission READ_PHONE_STATE automatically

Question

Unity 5.1 adds the READ_PHONE_STATE permission automatically. Unity 5.0 didn't do this. It is not mentioned in the release notes for 5.1 This permission is not good for the app ratings and leads to questions. Is it a bug? If not.. What is it used for and do you have an update for the privacy policy? Can it be removed?
