Unity 5 Animation Window Super Lag

Hi, I recently tried to create animations in unity 5 64 bit (latest update) with the animation window but whenever I try to rotate a bone on my character it's super slow and it often rotates to where I don't want it to because of the significant lag. However everything else is working fine? It was working fine in unity 4, is anyone else having similar problems or is there something that I need to do to fix it? Any help would be very much appreciated!

Try it in LateUpdate() (but do $$anonymous$$imise the amount of work you do there!)

I have been having the same problem. Creating an animation is really slow. It has some serious lag, even more when I try to move more than one part (bone) at a time.

Is there any fix for this?

That's a big problem that isn't fixed yet. Hope that Unity does something about it, because it's impossible to animate with that amount of lag. It won't work properly even with a good computer.

If there is nothing in a scene I have no actual problem setting up an animation, but the problem is animations will be localized to where you produced them within Unity so that is why it is best not to create them inside Unity itself but using some other setup to import such things. This is not as much as a problem if such things are called with a script, but I for one have never had any Bones set where and stay where they needed to be even after hitting apply and done. They go back to the original distortions Unity has created.

Second, I have yet to see any proper solutions for it, but most my major Latency ((lag/Frame rates drop performance) isn't caused by the objects or number of objects i have in a scene (which tend to be very low polygons with what I'm doing) are caused by the lighting system in the Unity Engine itself. For one I have to turn off the General and Baked GI, Precomputed GI, and under "Other Settings) the auto.

However, as i add more lights, even spread way out or reduced to small areas, and on a high end computer (last time one with 2Terabytes graphics card, 10 000 rpm hard drive, later replaced with a SSD, etc), the lighting still kills all the performance.
