Maya models are deformed when imported into unity

Here is the original model in Maya:

After exporting an obj and importing that into Unity, the model looks like this:

If you can tell, on the right side the asteroid is missing part of its outer mesh, along with another hole you can't see on the back side of the model. How can I get the models into unity without being broken like this?

In $$anonymous$$aya, check the face normals to see if those that are missing in Unity are looking the right way. ($$anonymous$$eaning, they are looking outwards)

I checked, all the normals appear to be facing outwards. I also tried confor$$anonymous$$g them, but with no success

Sometimes when something like that happens, i just delete those faces and re-do them. $$anonymous$$aya can be iffy sometimes...
